Brittany Murphy Takes on The Caller
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Brittany Murphy is going to star in director Mathew Parkhill’s The Caller.
The actress joins a cast that includes Stephen Moyer and Luis Guzman.
In The Caller, troubled divorcee, Mary Kee, begins to receive mysterious phone calls from an unknown caller and she quickly begins to feel haunted in her own home. When she discovers that the person is calling from the past, Mary realizes that she will have to kill her in order to survive but how do you kill someone living in the past and what will happen if she fails.
The film starts shooting in Puerto Rico this Friday.

The trailer for the upcoming thriller “Across the Hall,” starring Brittany Murphy (8 Mile), Mike Vogel (Cloverfield) and Danny Pino (Flicka), has appeared online…
Plot: A quiet night takes a dangerous turn when Julian (Vogel) receives a frantic phone call from his best friend, Terry (Pino). Terry claims to have followed his unfaithful fiancee, June (Murphy), to a seedy hotel on the other side of town. To make matters worse, he’s staked out the room across the hall from her, a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a revolver in the other. Julian pleads with his friend to stay put while he rushes to avert disaster.
“Across the Hall” is directed by Alex Merkin, who is making his feature film debut, and will get a limited theatrical run starting December 4th.
